WomenNow was founded by Paige Duffey and Maria Gabriela Waechter. Together they have over fourteen years of experience with ServiceNow and over fifty years experience being a woman, so you can bet they know what they are talking about.

Our purpose is to provide a spotlight for women in our community, and to support and enable women to achieve their goals. We believe that supporting women’s active involvement in the ServiceNow community will improve the ecosystem as a whole.

We welcome any woman who is involved with ServiceNow in any capacity, and even those wanting to join in the fun!

Our goal is to encourage and empower women to grow their careers in the ServiceNow ecosystem.

How allies can support our mission

New to all this "ally" stuff? Trying to figure out how you fit into all of this as someone who isn't a woman? Check out some of our ally’s posts.

Looking to support WomenNow and our mission? Spread the word! Share our links, our blog posts and our events - help amplify our reach. We have some guidelines on which social media is open to our allies and advocates, and specific events will denote whether they are just for women or for our allies.

Outside of WomenNow, try your hardest to be an ally in all that you do. Hire women to work in your company, mentor women to help them reach their full potential, share job postings and encourage the women around you to go outside of their comfort zone.

Leadership

  • Isela Phelps

    She/Her

    Transitioning from non-technical roles, Isela, a first-generation college graduate and immigrant, has spent over 14 years in the higher education sector, 8 of those years on the Process Development & Design team, where she has served as a ServiceNow developer. During that time, she has excelled at blending soft skills with newly acquired technical acumen. This fusion empowers her to lead efficient transformations across departments in the higher education space.

    Her dedication as a student advocate fuels her drive to create impactful processes. Isela is deeply committed to inclusion in the ServiceNow space. She actively works to highlight the contributions of women in tech and break down barriers for others following similar paths. Her passion for paying it forward and sharing knowledge energizes her involvement in the ServiceNow community, where she’s been recognized with the Rising Star awards in 2023 and 2024, and named an MVP in 2025.

  • Jillian Howell

    She/Her

    Jillian is a ServiceNow Developer at K2 Services, where she supports law firms with ITSM and CMDB projects as part of the Enterprise Application Development team. Before diving into tech, she spent 15 years as a paralegal which means she knows a thing or two about process, structure, and not letting anything slip through the cracks.

    Her path into development wasn’t exactly traditional (unless your definition of “traditional” includes brain surgery, a full career change, and relearning how to walk). That journey lit a fire in her to build things that matter, help others grow, and advocate for more inclusion in the ServiceNow space.

    She’s especially passionate about mentorship, representation, and making sure women in tech feel like they belong, because they do. Bonus points if there’s coffee, code, or a good Figma file involved.

  • Kristen Dettman

    She/Her || 2025 ServiceNow MVP || 2024 Rising Star

    Kristen is a mid-life career shifter who made her way into technology after previous careers in education and real estate. She spent 5 years working with SharePoint form and workflow development before landing her current job as a ServiceNow Developer. She was quickly enamored with the power and flexibility of the ServiceNow platform and hasn't looked back. Leveraging her previous social media experience, Kristen loves sharing her learnings about the platform on LinkedIn. She also started a YouTube channel, the Now Divas, with her partner in crime, Selva Arun. Their goal was to bring a female perspective to the male-dominated ServiceNow video space.

    Outside of work, Kristen loves spending time with her husband, her daughter, and their 3 rescue dogs. She's also involved with Concentus Women's Chorus, both as a choral singer and board member.

About @paige

She/Her || 2022, 2021 ServiceNow Developer MVP

Paige has been working in the platform since, nearly, the beginning of time.  She is passionate about pushing the platform beyond it’s typical capabilities and creating opportunities for non-developers to take advantage of the low-code/no-code offerings within ServiceNow.  Some key words that can summon her and almost guarantee a long conversation are Citizen Development, Upgrades and User Experience.

Outside of work, Paige enjoys off-roading in her Jeep Wrangler with her family (especially on the beach!)

Also, she’s freakin awesome.

About @Sharon

She/Her || 2024, 2023, 2022 ServiceNow Developer MVP

Sharon has a remarkable journey to share, becoming an Outbound Product Manager at ServiceNow, a 3-time MVP, a WomenNow board member, and a NextGen instructor. After years of being overworked and under-challenged by non-technical jobs, she transitioned to a role as a ServiceNow Developer. She landed her first job building custom applications in less than a year. Months later, she crafted end-to-end integrations spokes to external systems. Then, she helped NuAxis Innovations create an internship program for minorities so others could have that same opportunity. Sharon's passion for making remarkable technology accessible to all is truly inspiring.
