Mixed Bag of Tips, Tricks & Resources - Part 1
The ServiceNow developer community has a vast combined knowledge with lots of developers who are willing to share what they’ve learned (and more joining the ranks every day). Over the years, I have benefited from their blog posts, YouTubes, and various other content.
Service Catalog Builder: The Basics
Today we’ll delve into the basics of the Service Catalog Builder. ServiceNow attempted something similar with the Catalog Item Designer several years ago, but it was not widely adopted. It was a bit clunky to use, and offered less freedom than building out an item the old-fashioned way. The new builder is definitely an upgrade. So let’s explore this a bit together.
WomenNow Meetup
A special interest group for any woman/female identifying individuals who work with the ServiceNow platform. We will meetup virtually with our peers across the country to talk about tips and tricks of developing in ServiceNow, chat about the platform's newest features and share in the struggles of women in our industry.

Quebec UI Builder - Create an Experience
Last week Quebec was released for Personal Developer Instances. As we are now given the opportunity to explore the newest ServiceNow release, you’ll be seeing several posts over the next couple of months going over some of the new features. I spent a little time playing in the new UI Builder. I’ve documented below the steps I took to create an Experience.
Citizen Developers - There’s no need to be afraid
Following in Maria Gabriella’s footsteps, I took a moment to speak with Chuck Tomasi this week on his podcast Break Point. I truly enjoyed being able to speak with Chuck and talk about my ServiceNow journey. One of the topics that came up, that I cannot avoid talking about, was Citizen Developers.
Somehow I got here: On impostor syndrome
I had the great honor of being on Chuck Tomasi’s Break Point podcast! I had a lot of fun talking to him about my career, the role that ServiceNow has played in my life and how we both have experienced and battled with Impostor syndrome. Give it a listen then come back for more!
snDevs: How do I contribute?
I will be the first to say that I am not the most technical person out there and I rely heavily on researching everything… and asking my friends for help. Thanks to Earl Duque’s help, today i’m going to be sharing my experience with helping out with the PointsThing bot on the snDevs slack channel!
